“The Bible doesn’t say that!” We’ve all heard phrases like “Everything happens for a reason,” “God helps those who help themselves,” and “God won’t give you more than you can handle.” They sound comforting, but are they actually what God teaches us in Scripture? In this series, we’ll debunk these common clichés, uncover where they fall short, and dive into what the Bible actually teaches. Together, we’ll move beyond these oversimplified phrases and discover how God’s real promises offer us strength, grace, and hope in life’s most difficult moments.
