Pastor Derek Rogers
Derek started as the pastor of Hinckley First UMC in July 2022 after serving as pastor at other United Methodist congregations since 2011. Derek earned his Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School and is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church. He is passionate about Wesleyan theology, applying God’s Word to everyday life, and helping people live into the call of God on their life.
He and his wife Breann have been married since 2018, and together they have two sons—Liam and Kellen. They also own a miniature dachshund named Wrigley. Derek obsessively cheers on the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Duke Blue Devils. He is an avid reader and also loves bingeing TV shows in his downtime.
